Para celebrar os 40 anos do Rock in Rio, a organização do evento apresenta o novo desenho da cidade do rock, que aproximadamente a dois meses do inicio do festival, começa a tomar forma e a ganhar vida. São  31 países, além de todos os estados brasileiros, que já disseram “EU VOU”. E para animar mais a festa, a Cidade Maravilhosa, onde tudo começou, se prepara para a edição dos 40 anos do Rock in Rio. No dia 5 de julho,  sexta-feira, os palcos Mundo e Sunset começaram a ser erguidos no Parque Olímpico, como também, os palcos New Dance Order, Global Village, Espaço Favela, além da Rota 85, como também, a Área VIP e do lounge do Rock in Rio Club.

To celebrate 40 years of Rock in Rio, the event organizers present the new design of the rock city, which approximately two months before the start of the festival, begins to take shape and come to life. There are 31 countries, in addition to all Brazilian states, that have already said “I WILL”. And to liven up the party even more, the Marvelous City, where it all began, is preparing for the 40th anniversary edition of Rock in Rio. On Friday, July 5th, the Mundo and Sunset stages began to be built in the Olympic Park , as well as the New Dance Order, Global Village, Espaço Favela stages, in addition to Route 85, as well as the VIP Area and the Rock in Rio Club lounge.

São 700 mil fãs aguardados durante os dias do evento, e que agregam valor às 500 horas, junto da desenvoltura dos mais de 750 artistas nos sete palcos, que conta ainda com diversos brinquedos, a disposição do público, este o responsável por implementar os grandes números em vendas de ingressos. Quem comprou seu ingresso vai poder conferir o musical inédito “Sonhos, Lama e Rock ‘n Roll”, caminhar Babilônia Feira Hype e encontrar o mundo inteiro na Global Village, além de experiências: gastronômica na Gourmet Square; ativações de marca e, no “Dia Brasil”, poder apreciar o show com fogos diurnos. E com tanta opção, o videomaping no novo Palco Mundo, um balé aéreo com trilha sintonizada, além das pulseiras iluminadas, que fazem do público um show a parte dentro do Rock in Rio.
